Adjacent to Q Development’s headquarters in the Katsafanas building, 810 West North Avenue is an upcoming development for Q that will take into account the breadth of the historic fabric that features post-and-beam construction and a unique tin ceiling on the second floor revealing its use as a showroom for International Harvester.
The trapezoidal-shaped building was built in three phases and bears evidence from when the Brighton Street and West North Avenue bridge was raised in the 1940’s, adding an additional layer of historical interest to the property.
Q’s intent for this project is to redevelop the building in response to the 21st century needs while deeply respecting its 19th century roots. The building was recently placed in the National Register of Historic Places.
